Fund re-registration
If you wish to consolidate existing funds, you can do so by simply re-registering your investments with Cofunds.
The advantage of doing this is that your investments do not have to be sold by your previous plan managers and bought back by Cofunds, thus avoiding any potential risk from market pricing changes while your money is not invested or any extra charges.
The benefits of consolidation:
- Be able to view your portfolio and get a valuation at any time over the internet
- Be able to add to your account and switch between funds easily and cost effectively
- Receive one consolidated 6-monthly valuation statement, despite investing in funds from different fund managers
- Have access to a cash reserve facility, which will enable you to switch into cash if you wish to do so, perhaps when market conditions are less than favourable, whilst retaining your ISA status
Although it is possible to do a simple stock transfer of investment funds, not all fund managers can accept this method of transfer for ISAs.
An added benefit from Chartwell:
If you hold funds that were not taken out via Chartwell, why not re-register these too and you may become eligible for our Cashback Service. Nearly all ISAs and many Unit Trusts and OEICs pay renewal commissions to brokers. By re-registering these funds via Chartwell we will start receiving these renewal commisions and rebate 30% of these back to you on a monthly basis into bank account via BACs.
